Not sure if this is "old" news but is seems James Saulsbury has signed for Hayes (according to their official web site). I thought he signed for Staines a few weeks ago?

rubbish! You'd welcome him back with open arms if you had the chance, but as it is he's stepped up a league for more money than we could offer him, and I have no problem with it.

what did he do wrong? He wasn't under contract so he was perfectly within his rights to go to all clubs and weigh up all the options.

Agree with you that he was certainly within his rights with Staines & M'head because it doesn't matter what you promise, until you've signed on the dotted line nothings certain.

 

What did really make me want to throw up was the way he used us for a game against Beaconsfield.

 

There was nothing different he could have learnt about us that he didn't already know and he robbed somebody of a game who was trialing and really wants to play for us...sickening! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

He treated it as if it was any normal job and fair play to him. Why should players show loyalty? Would you show loyalty to your current employers if you were offered the same type of job but on higher wages? I doubt it

Whilst I do agree that he did seem to mess us about and a few others too, we should just get on with the players who want to play for us and forget about him as he's gone. He was good, but there will be others just as good and others that we have missed more, but got over.

i just think it's quite amusing that a player essentially bargaining clubs off against each other to get a better deal (which is done at ALL levels of the game) gets called all sorts of names by the very same people that were drooling over him last year.

Liam, My issue was merely the fact that he played that pre season friendly for us, and i would imagine that he had no intention of signing for us at all whilst playing it.
