A story will be in the Paper for Friday !

The club has asked for the supporters to be given a outline of the story before the papers report this to wider world.

A new company has been formed to run Slough Town FC - and that the new company will be called

Thames valley sports Ltd

This pending a few final details and confirmation by the FA that all is in order !

This Thursday will be cructial as Martyn Deaner will step down from Football related matters, to consentrate on a possible development plans that may take place in the Colnbrook area, which will have plans for a new home for Slough Town FC.

Martyn Deaner has pledged to fund the next 2 years to the new company to run STFC and if the future looks bright and development seams to be going forward he will fund STFC for another 3 years.

On Thursday the new mangement team will be also having a meeting with Peter Simpson to finalise the agreement for ground share for this year.

with arrangements for payments for the coming season. ( some money has been paid already for season 2005-2006)

There are a few issues still to be finalised and that these will be confirmed ok very soon.

More news will be available in the Slough Observer on Friday.

Issued on behalf of the new company by Bernard Devine (chairman of Thames valley sports LTD)

Hold your horses people. While I'm reassured that there are things going on behind the scenes, actions speak louder than words, particularly when these words are delivered through a messenger (no offence Chris). The meeting tomorrow with Peter Simpson will be crucial and until that happens and issues are resolved we're not in a position to look forward to the future just yet.

No, but we have had numerous false dawns in the few years since 1997. First there was the talk of the ground on the allotments, land swaps, Kennedy Park and a ground in Colnbrook has been talked about for years. Regardless of who owns the name - Slough Town will always be a club in crisis until we have a new ground of our own which gives us a chance to be self sufficient.

I agree that this as there is some news it is automatically good but we as supporters should continue in our efforts to raise funds and maintain the profile of the club and our current plight. A rainy day will always be around the corner.
