Statham is not one for grand gestures or predictions, but believes : "this team can achieve anything they set their minds to" and urges all supporters to get behind the team : "last year some of the support home and away was tremendous and it certainly encourages and lifts the players to see and hear the support. I hope everyone will want to be part of what is sure to be an exciting season." Justin could learn a great deal from Big Stathe.

All your players are big time charlies and this was proved tonight, along with your dugout shouting how [****!!****] lazy you were just as you were playing on a bigger pitcth then normal. And just because we do not swear constantly at the top of our voices on away days like your very own tex, does not mean we don't have an away fan base. We do not go around boasting we are going to win the league like you as we are realistic, you are chucking stupid money at a pointless team where we have nowhere near your budget, and i bet we finish higher then you in the league! big time charlies........... after tonight you are really not worth the money!!

Well done Mr M & swifts, it was a very entertaining game, (Poor refereeing aside) and good football by both teams. I thought you worked very hard, and defended resolutely.

Play like that all season and you will be very difficult to beat. Paul Nicholls made some great saves.

 

As for chucking stupid money and matching budgets, I suggest you do a little more homework and comparison before making uninformed statements.

Actually TC, I think they have spent more money than us this close season...Never mind, put it down as a sore winner.

 

I'll second the thought that it was a very entertaining game. And we have the delights of that Ref. to savour on the 20th against Slough. I wonder if he'll go for broke and double his tally of one sided bookings?

Best thing about Heybridge is the pubs. Some lovely pubs down Heybridge basin way.
