Uxbridge FC v Slough Town FC

Pre-Season Friendly, 30 July 2005

Charged under Rule E3 pursuant to paragraph 8(h) of the Disciplinary Procedures.

Furthermore, Mr Bamford has been issued with an Interim Suspension Order which means he is suspended from all football and football activity with immediate effect.

Mr Bamford has until 22 August 2005 to answer the charge."

 

Looks like the FA are taking this seriously!

Do we know what Rule E3, paragraph 8(h) refers to?

 

They've obviously deemed the referee's comments serious enough to issue an interim suspension also.

rule e 3 states

General Behaviour

 

 

 

3. A Participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game, and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.

I think the FA have got this one right so far - clearly he has to answer to the charge and be treated the same as other players, but in light of what his offence actually was, putting an interim banning order on him makes a lot of sense, and is in effect a three match ban before the potential for further punishment

The FA have also been able to view the video footage I captured at the match so hopefully that will push home the point and make sure he gets the punishment he deserves.

You may remember my last post........I've been following this with interest as you might imagine! You lot appear to be pretty damned effective, I'm very impressed.

 

I sincerely hope that you succeed in getting Mr Bamford the lengthy ban that he deserves. Apart from anything else, we're playing Thugsbridge in the third match of the season next Saturday and I'd rather he didn't feature. Wivenhoe, like Slough, are a family club and it would be better that the air wasn't turned blue with 'righteous indignation'- or something similar!
