Rocky not for basingstoke

I'll give you two from one club. Richard Jolly and Jermaine Beckford at Wealdstone. Both young, both score goals (Jolly 30-plus last season) and both play for a club that is skint. Don't know what their contract situation is but they show that good players don't always have to cost a fortune. Watch out for them when they play us!

a) Do you know what wages they are on then?

B) But they are playing at Wealdstone.

Any ideas on players who are available? Like now? At this moment?

If good strikers are ten a penny, how is it that nearly every club site I have looked at says that managers are looking to strengthen their strike force? Or do you know something they don't? Perhaps you could give Chris some hints?

People all over the world claim to be Man Utd fans or Real Madrid fans, forking out money to buy merchandise (I know this because I spent a year in Kenya. Our guard was a Real Madrid fan and had a proper shirt) and yet they have never seen Real Madrid or Man Utd play. Do they count as fans?

I have seen Wimbledon and Chelsea play each other at Selhurst Park. Does that mean I only qualify to be a Chelsea or Wimbledon fan? I dont want to support Chelsea or Wimbledon. I support Margate FC. Get used to it.

As for Rocky. There are archived match reports which would say how well Rocky did, saying if he missed chances. If he missed more chances than he scored you'd guess he wasnt that good wouldnt you?

The logic just isnt there anonymous.

No. I could call them something a lot worse, but let's just settle for 'followers'.

Here's some logic for you, and answer me this. If strikers are such a rare commodity at the moment, and Rocky is as good as you say, why is he still a free agent?

Think about it. If strikers are a rare commodity the chances are that teams already have enough attacking players so that they wont need a striker, thus Baptiste finds it difficult to find a team to play for.

Were you asking me that question because you genuinely wanted to know my view on it or are you just desperate to score points off me because you were wrong about your previous comments?

The former actually
An interesting answer with a gap in logic that you could drive a no. 9 bus through, but as the chap above says, this debate seems to have run its course for now

I remember Hornchurch and a few other games where he missed sitters. He appears to be a quality player who can hold the ball and beat people, but it is his apparent attitude to the team and his team mates that gets me. Selfish and greedy come to mind, although I have seen games where he has laid goals on for others, perhaps as a last resort.

I would prefer a less able person who is commited to the team and the cause.

How about the games where he got in a strop because he wasn't allowed to take a penalty? there were a couple last year. Talented player but think he was affected more than most by not being paid regularly. I'd give him another go if he was getting paid every week-might be more inclined to put his heart and soul into it.
