Squad Numbers

Anyone know when they're going to be announced? A couple of clubs have done theirs' - Grays, York, Gravesend...

Last pre-season game tonight, maybe 2 more players signing contracts, my guess is squad numbers won`t be released until thursday/friday. I wonder if we will have a number 1 this season?

I presume we won't be having a number 1 this season. It would be a bit unfair on the other 'keeper. It's not like we have one first team 'keeper and two reserves etc.

 

I would be interested to see if there are some significant differences between last years numbers 2-11 and this seasons' i.e. Tait taking No. 9 from Gregory etc.

i cant see why danny cant have the number 1 shirt i know ash is a canvey legend etc but dan has been our "number 1" for a couple of seasons now. I think the players who were here last season will keep there number unless they want to change it.

I thought the lack of a number 1 shirt last season was a statement that no one is number 1 at our club and that everyone is in it together, team bonding? Well that`s what i heard, probably a load of tosh <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

in that case thats another matter, a team as 1 is always good.u need your team to be together

but i cant see what the fuss is if you have number 2 on your back it dont make you run faster than 3 does it so its not all that important to me i bet half the player couldnt give a toss what they have on there back!!!

Will Janney offer anything better/different than we have? We already have Keeling and Clarke (and i don`t see them both starting together) so is he good enough to force one of them out of the starting X1?
