What a game last night. Daish certinely knows what he wants and I think he has acquired the players to get it. Charlie Mac and Kim Grant were fantastic up front, Skins had a few decent strikes on goal, we had midfielders bombing forward to be part of the action and the whole team gelled very well.

 

Is it some ploy by Daish to play poorly all pre-season and just before the first game get his team firing on all cylinders, or did it just happen?

 

It was also nice to hear singing last night, I was over that way so could hear it really well but I'd be interested to know how it was heard from the rest of the stadium?

 

So now I'm really looking forward to Exeter coming down, we have a very good record against them at El Stadia de la Stonebridge Road so it won't be as easy for them as I've heard some people say.

The one thing that did dissapoint me was that the drum did not start earlier. As I take this as my que to start my chanting. I may be a single voice by the old tea hut. i just don't care, as the lads should hear that their efforts are appreciated. Hopefully the drum will kick in earlier at the exeter game, and lets have a few more voices singing our support for the lads.

It was a pre season friendly! I think both drums and all voices will be present on Saturday, when needed!!

Lets hope so. I have a problem with my singing voice, the words bucket, note, can't and carry spring to mind. that will not stop me singing my support for the lads. So that should not stop everyone else.

At last someone half interest in your first real game of the season. Expect a large away following as the 'Wurzel Army' is ready to arrive at your place. A while back I suggested at least 400 away fans, judging by the interest down 'West' I would suggest that figure will be between 600-1000 Exeter fans.

 

Most organised exiled fans groups have organised travel, with only our Dutch SC not making an effort. The 'North Devon Grecians' are running a coach full and that only happens around 4/5 times a season. The Norwgeians are landing at Stanstead and the London exiles will be arriving around 13:00.

 

We have have polished off signings with Mackie (striker- MK Dons) and Craig Farrel (Striker Carlisle) and our captain fantastic will make a re-entry to conference football. Season tickets sales have soared to 1,000 sold. So things are looking good.

 

We are due a win at your place................

The big drum wasn't there last nght anyway. I had the small away drum with me. Note away drum therefore will be used at away games only.
