Well that was the first time I have seen the Fleet since the end of last season and I have to agree with a few people on here . . . We have nothing to worry about! What is WVN on about – doom merchant.

 

We have not had a more talented bunch of players in the last 5 years.

 

Macdougald was superb looked very fit to me.

Slatter is excellent.

Saunders was good as was Surey when he came on.

Pleasing was Skinner/Jacko/McCarthy all looking fitter than last season and playing well.

As always the centre mids get no praise but I thought Bowry was Immense.

Gooding looks even better than Protheroe and will keep the latter out of team I think.

Holloway has to be number 1 surely it cant be Kerr!!!

 

I know it was only a friendly. I know we have to do that consistently. I know that young players heads might drop. BUT if we counter all that we have a mid table side EASY.

I disagree about Holloway. I think kerr should be the first choice goalkeeper. Under the eye of our trainers, I believe he will only get better. the penalty awarded because of the way holloway tried to save the ball does not cloud my judgement, as it was a brave move and he should be praised for it. I just think Kerr has the edge at the moment.

Looking at Kerrs background and age I think he holds with the new ethos of building a good team with a young age.
