I hear that Leon is NOT coming back.

 

He is well past it anyway I'm afraid.

Yes at 34 he must be well past playing at this level.After all its not as if Shearer,Sheringham,Ince and Wise ect are still playing at a higher level in there very late thirties is it. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Unfortunately, he was past it after the bike accident.

 

Players age in different ways - Leon's main asset was pace not something you immediately link with the players you name above

i believe he is still training with the team.

We need to bring some quality in. The squad as it stands is not good enough imo particularly up front and we have lost 4 of our best players in Clarke, Stadhart, Ross and - erm, Baptiste and not replaced them. We may be a league lower but there are some good sides and many of them will be as strong as those we played in conf south last season (Grays the exception). <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
