Just a short note to congratulate you all for today and to say I am sorry that having driven down from London to take part matters beyond my control made me come straight back.

The float looked great and got a well deserved award.

Again congratulations but more importantly thanks for all of your efforts.

I just loved it all, really wished I could have stayed to the end. The kids on the route were loving the giveaways, we got a really good reception.

The float looked magnificent when I arrived, what a fabulous shiny lorry and the graphics were sensational. Big big thank you to the sponsor, and the guys from Active that helped - what a great company to have behind the club.

The youth team players who came along were great kids too, and as for the rest of you guys - well, you know I love you all. Big thanks also to MISA Dave and Cookie, without them to organise it I would not have had such a memorable, fun day.

We wanted to get our message across to the town that we were back - I think we did that with knobs on!

Thanks June, I have to re-iterate that your bunting really gave the float an edge. I have brought it home as the quality was so good and it may come in handy again sometime. Lots of work and stitching went into that I can see. Thanks.

Hope all is well with Zuchov. Your attendance and participation was greatfully recieved.

I Am completely knackered now though.

[color:"blue"] What a great publicity push ! Congrats to Cookie, Bodyform, MargateFan and all those who worked so hard to get this done. (I just turned up on the day, so apologies to those who helped that I didn't name).

Giving away the Leaflets, Wristbands, Lollies and Mini Footballs certainly made our one of the most popular floats in the whole procession. The good spirit, good music & great atmosphere created by this event can only enhance our standing in the community.

I only had one thing to do today & I'm sorry to say I F'd up. The photos came out bad, I must have knocked the camera as all the images were bleached and can't be used. SORRY GUYS, I'M GUTTED So you'll all have to wait until the Thanet Times to see how good it all looked.

Shame ! You're slipping Peter. (Only kiddin). Thanks for getting there today. Loved it when the kids stormed at you from all sides for all those "free" goodies. That would have been a picture worth seeing.

Another great "Team" effort today. If our players perform as a team in the same way as the supporters of this club do then we will have a very successful season. However we do need more of that team spirit this week at the ground.I will try and get there during the week after my early shifts to help in some way if I can.I know there are still little jobs to finish off. We can do it! No-one should expect everyone to be able to get there as was with the carnival but any little time we have would be appreciated. Its not the time to let up just yet.

Well done chaps. Hope leah's leaflets went down a treat. How many supporters turned up to walk with the float and what sort of reaction did we get from the crowds. Couldn't make it as im on nights but im gonna spend some time tuesday up the club.

about ten adults around or on the float plus a lot of kids. have to say giving out freebies was very popular though the organisation and lack of matialing left a lot to be desired. The lorry did the club proud and was pleased to get very good vibes from the public about our plight, looking forward to a good crowd on the 20th. perhaps we found twenty or thirty xtra fans. for you oldies like me bumped into John Babers son who said dad and him would be ther on the twentieth. John Baber 60's 70's player great skill.

Easily the best float there today the crowd went beserk sort of looked like a russian bread que after the fall of the soviet block, as kids and adults went looking for a ball and wrist band.

Was pround to be a gate fan today when i saw you all doing the club a great service my thanks to you as a fellow gate fan for helping to push our club back in two mind of the town again i think it was a great succses, just gutted i couldnt help today.

Those graphics have know been transferd to the ground by misa dave, where they also look magnificant. The two side panels are knoe eitherside of the changing rooms, the big square is on the club house wall and the misa/club house one is going over the big for men sign on the front wall. Thanks June, my two kids loved it,helping out yesterday.Onwards and Upwards ,to the premiership and beyond. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />
