CONSIDERING YOURE 250 MILES AWAY ON A TUESDAY NIGHT THE SO CALLED HOOLIGANS WILL NOT TRAVEL. GAMES AT BV ARE DIFFERENT WITH LARGE GANGS MILLING AROUND THIS SEASON. LAST TWO YEARS HAVE BEEN QUIET BUT AT HOME IT SEEMS TO HAVE RESURFACED BIG TIME.

I don't think I've ever heard so much bullshit. You ever heard of a "self-fulfilling prophecy"? You obviously know very little about Doncaster Rovers FC and it's true fans. Glad I'm not coming if that's the attitude you'll have.

Success? What [censored] success?

I've been to every home game this season and have yet to see any "large gangs" milling around. I've seen a lot of people in attendance, and crowds of people in queues waiting to get in to watch the games. That tends to happen when your homes gates consist of more than 3 blokes and a German Shepherd called Rolf. I've yet to hear about any animosity or violence whatsoever at Rovers games this season, and reports from opposition fans home and away have been very positive this season.

Our "fan" is someone I've never heard of (I post regularly on the DRFC forum and Confguide) and as such is likely to be someone trolling trying to stir up trouble prior to tonights game.

There is likely to be animosity if travelling Rovers fans (and there are likely to be one or two) are treated like second class citizens just because you heard that they're likely to be a horde of hairy arsed yobs who won't know any different. Remember what I said about "self fulfilling prophecy"?

It irritates me when an entire group of genuine fans is tarred with the same brush over a tiny tiny minority of idiots who are mostly harmless. THAT'S the attitude I was talking about.

I still don't know what this so called "success" is either?

Oh, and I don't like being fuc king censored, I'm sure people find it a lot less offensive than your shotgun wielding smiley below.....how very grown-up....

We only segregate on the advice of our local police who presumably get their information from their colleagues in South Yorkshire.

But it is a sad fact that once a club gets a reputation (deserved or not) it is very difficult to shake off.

Your fans won't be treated as second class citizens, the only thing that we cannot provide is a bar as that is at the home end of the ground, but if any of them want to meet for a friendly drink before or after the match you will be welcome in the Plough or the Rose (at the top of the hill) which is where you will find Fleet fans.

As for the censorship, it is built into the progam that powers the Forum, so I couldn't remove it even if I wanted too.

and you notice how the roving gangs of hardcore hooligans have not hit the media knowledge? because they dont exist.

i do most away games and can say, two lads went on the pitch at Telford at 4-0 up and.........., thats yer lot.

when you take 1000+ to away games in the conference you get problems because the clubs cant cope, not because they are crap, just because they are not prepared for the numbers.

grow up lads.

You're a very angry man, Carlos. Very pent-up. The original post was from someone saying he'd heard Doncaster had hooligans. It's a fairly common rumour, even if it is only a rumour. He wasn't accusing you all of it. So calm down. You too Sturdy.

Fella, I'm probably the most laid back person I know. I'm horizontal sometimes. But I'm fiercely proud of my football club and don't like being accused of being a thug. The shotgun IS offensive.

Well if the shotgun is that offensive to you, you can't be that laid back. <img src="/forums/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" />

Your player's elbow into Che Stadhart's face last night was a tad more offensive than a small animated computer icon, I feel.

I have been to every home and every away game this season, we also get segregated,we have no trouble with anyone. sadly as has been said before, it is the price of being in this standard of football, all segregation is carried out at grounds on Police say so, we are travelling to Northwich on Saturday, and we are being segregated, we were segregated for our first match in the Conference this year, at Dorchester, travelled all the way down, got stuck on holiday traffic, ushered into the ground and ushered out again as soon as the final whistle was blown. I think sometimes sense should prevail, last season when we played Canvey, our closest rivals for promotion, both games were very well supported, our KO was delayed to get everyone in, but no segregation and no trouble.

Sadly the fans who went onto the pitch after the 2nd goal last night have only helped with the argument to segregate.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but still prefer to stand behind the goal to watch the match, so not just the away fans are discriminated against.

Here's hoping to a trouble free season for us all.

Come on your Reds!!

I stand corrected if people disagree but i saw no malice in the Donny fans after they scored..Yes a couple of people came on the pitch because of the joy of the equaliser but didnt see anything threatening...The Donny fan that was led away you'd have thought had committed a criminal offence given the amount of stewards, police, bouncers all over him.
