We were very poor in the first half and gifetd Murphy both goals - the first we gave the ball away and he picked his spot in the top corner across Parkin and the second was a Daly mistake when he headed a through ball past Parkin who had called for it and Murphy just had to roll it into an empty net.

In the second half we were much better with a few changes. I'm hoping somebody will fill in the names but numbers 10 (centre forward) and 7 (left midfield) looked good and it was 10 that got our goal. My Slough following career started too late to see him first time round but others will have been pleased to see Mark West make a second half substitute appearance.

Also worth mentioning what a fantastic set up Brackley have got. Neat little ground with superb pitch, great new clubhouse, friendly people and there were loads of kids there. Also, there were people using the clubhouse as their local who had come to watch the cricket. Was very impressed.

#10 was Josh White who if i remember someone said had come frmo Aldershot. #7 looked alot better as the game went on, but the other trailists that were there werent great.

I think Hodgey upfront with Mark West could become a great partnership, or even a 3 with Seedel with the use of Wests experience.

Very unlucky to loose in my opinion. Thought we controlled the match from start-to-finish, but mistakes at the back saw Matt Murphy (of course!) punish us.

As Ian said impressed with the 10 (White) thought he could be something different to what we already have up front and hope we sign him.

As for the other trialists the number seven in midfield also did well and grew as the match went on. First of all seemed to want too much time on the ball, so I guesing he could be a youngster released from a league club as he was not useto being closed down so quickly, but did well in the end.

Think we may have seen the last of the Polish trialist who was replaced at half-time and the 6 at the back who played the whole game did ok, but nothing more in my opinion.

Tee Daly still got mixed views on. Delivers a great cross and takes up good positions, but seems to take too long to cross the ball and looses posession too easily at the moment in my opinion. Still he's improving each game though and could do well for us. Left wing and left centre back still a massive problem for us.

All in all a hell of a lot better than Hemel and a good game. Missed a lot of good chances though, but rather miss them now than when the league season starts!

Was the Macedonian left back there? If so how did he do?

I think we should field a team of trialists at York Road to avoid anyone getting crippled.

Thought slough looked preddy decent considering the wage restrictions. Lots of pace and endeavour. However, at the end of the day, it was your ex top striker Murphy who stole the show. Didn't have to expend much energy but just one of those class acts that cruises and scores goals. Will be a super signing for brackley but feel you'll be ok.

Marek Kliatkowski was the number 3 trialist and, as the name suggests, is Polish. He was subbed at half time although had really bad blisters so I don't know whether that played a part in him not featuring in the second half. This week he's played for Bracknell twice so he may have been a bit tired.

The Macedonian has been released, apparently.

Thought we were the better team by a long way, although in my opinion against an ordinary looking Brackley team who i think would be candidates for relegation in our division.

They only had two or three shots on target and scored with two of them (both from mistakes)

Having said that, sounds familiar and worrying that I only counted us as having had two shots on target all game despite having some gilt edged chances.

Quietly impressed with the number 7, number 6 & 3 didn't impress. Have to disagree with the views on number 10, when he gets the ball at his feet more often than not he loses the ball and he hasn't shown me anything, so far, to say that he's worth a first team place.

Does anybody know the extent of Met's injury and why Matt Seedel wasn't involved yesterday?

Was informed that Matt Seedel was away this weekend, hence not being there.

Mets looked to be limping a bit when walking around during the second half, but not as bad as watching Leigh Mason hobble around with his knee.

The Macedonian was pretty poor at Hemel, which is why he was probably realeased. Mind you that's not saying much as were the whole team were rubbish!

Trouble with a lot of the trialists at the moment is that they are not even as good as the ones we released ie Matt Miller, Danny Steer, Veli Hakki etc...

Leigh Mason being out and missing the start of the campaign is a massive blow especially with Chopper also missing due to the world student games.

Could be forced into a Mets, Wilko (if fit) and Shep midfield 3 for the start of the season by the look of it.

Also worrying that Steve Daley still looks restricted in his movement and as he has stated he really shouldn't be playing at the moment.

It's a frightening thought that in our first three games we are playing possibly the best 3 teams in our division with a half fit Daley, no Chopper, no Mason, possibly no Mets, no Ballard no Wilko.

I think were going to need a devine intervention.

So brackley relegated from div west don't say much for your team's chances. Brackley were missing five key players in williams, beard, brown, stephenson and ford, so to win with our ressies would suggest we're promotion material lol

Into the valleeeeeeee....... Never did no harm..never did no harm.. itz dare.......

hi all dave here. first a big thank you to mark hunter for drawing the short straw and getting me to brackley and back safely. great to see ian and mark bringing dominic and two players also. i never thought i would see dominic as working at legoland. i think i may go and vist brackly sometime as town looks small and fairly close to banbury and only £4.50 return on the 500 coach. apperantly virgin wer running a good service from reading ext ext. many rebels decided to go by train but buses finnish early on 500 bus so no time for sighseeing ext ext. the game was good and good food and good quality playing area and clubhouse. mainly youngsters playing and great to see mark west and the youngsters playing with the only concsrns being metz and mason hobiling around. hopefuly they will back for the main season away to billericy. oh well take care all and see you at magpie land. come on you rebels.
