Does anyone have directions on how to get to brackley by train or bus.

Found some further directions:

 

Road Directions: Take A43 from Northampton or Oxford, or A422 from Banbury to large roundabout south of town. Take exit marked Brackley and follow towards the town (Tesco store on left). Pass the Locomotive public house and take first turning right, signposted Football Club, into Churchill Way - road leads into Club car park.

I know it's not answering your question Russ but road directions seem straightforward off junction 10 of the M40.

Russ, If I go I'll be travelling from Reading by train.

 

I've made some enquiries and it seems that Brackley hasn't got a rail station.

 

So the route I will take is a train form Reading to Banbury and hopefully a bus should run from Banbury to Brackley.

I have a friend who lives in Brackley and I'm pretty sure there are regular buses between there and banbury, i would ask her for more info but she's away on hols at the moment.

You don't happen to know how far the Bus Station is from the Train station in Banbury and how far the ground is from the bus station in Brackley?

 

Could be crucial in my journey planning.

Hi just seen all the correspondence re getting to Brackley.

 

From Reading by train to Banbury is the best route, then bus from Banbury to Reading. The train station in Banbury is a 5 mins max. walk to the bus station.

 

The buses run hourly, but not sure what is happening at present as the main road between Banbury and Brackley is closed for 5 weeks for re-surfacing, the buses must be diverted but this will add time to your trip.

 

Once in Brackley, the ground is a 5 mins walk from the town centre where the buses drop off.

There is alimited range of food pre match, a full range of burger bar food from about 2.30 and good range of lagers plus a couple of beer at the club.

 

We're open from 12.00 ish, so if you come early feel free tocome in and watch the Sheff. Utd./Leicester game and stay after for Wolves/Soton.

Iv'e since found out that the buses from Banbury to Brackley run at 10 & 40 minutes past the hour.
