The game at Ashford showed that progress albeit slow is being made. Trialists were given a decent "go" and the the reserve goalie a full game.

The passing part of our game was improved and Darren provided a long and desperatedly needed fillip to the attack.

We are going in the right direction in our inimitable Margate way of doing things!

rumour has it that Ross smith will train along with leon and rocky on tuesday.

Never get in the way of a good rumour-but would'nt it be marvellous to see Ross and Rocky back in Gate shirts.

 

Rocky obviously has higher expectations(with justification imo) ,however ,if he is not fixed up, maybe MFC may sign him on non contract basis ,so he gets a wage but can leave at a weeks notice if a 'higher' club comes in for him, and gets an opportunity with mfc to showcase his abilities.

 

Similar with Ross but have to admit that i'd lie Ross to give it another full season with the gate-or at least until Christmas.

 

Interestingly, as there is a transfer window in conference national this year, their opportunity to sign for a conference national club is only there until end of August ,so if not fixed up by then, its only conference south or Ryman League which gives them a chance anyway.
