New Shirts "SPECIAL DEAL"

Cookie

Recommended Posts

I have, only this morning, come to an arrangement with the club to be able to allow the 1st 15 people who are going onto our float at the carnival this sunday morning to acquire and buy a new shirt for the knock-down price of £28. All you have to do is to join us on the float for the procession and wear the shirt. You will have to pay on the day at the meeting point at Royal Esplanade Westbrook at 2pm to both put them on and and to pay for them. These are BRAND NEW home shirts.

First 15 people to tell me if they will be able to take up this "special" offer will get these shirts at this price. But we want you turning up to help us on the day. NOT A LOT TO ASK! We need you so please take up this offer. Call me(pm) or put your name down NOW!!

Those that have already bought a shirt, I am very sorry but you will not get a refund on the ones you bought. I am hoping that those that have already bought a shirt will join us on the parade WITH their new shirts on.

Only "new" shirts will be on show in the procession as we need to be uniformally dressed.

This is a one off deal and is solely to try and get some of you out there involved that havent already done so.

Come on now, this is a "ONE OFF" carnival for us so please TRY & help out and buy a "SPECIAL" price shirt at the same time. First names I get will be the first to get these brand new shirts.

Thanks

p.s. I would be grateful if those that have bought shirts already do not contact the club asking for £7 back as this may have an effect on this "special" offer. Without the new shirts on display the participation will be somewhat diluted. Besides this offer only stands for those who will put their time into helping us on this ONE day. This is our ONE chance to promote the club to so many people in one fell swoop so lets get out there and DO IT !!!!

Look back and feel proud that you were a part of it!

Just to add to the above. If you want to help in the carnival and DONT want to buy a shirt then you will be welcome still, however to try and keep the blue & white theme going could you try and wear something blue or white or both. Would maintain the uniformity. Dont feel as though you are surlpus to requirements if you havent got a new shirt or dont want to buy one. Bring your scarfs too if you have one so we can decorate the carnival float.Scarfs, banners anything. They will be returned after. In fact ANYTHING you have with the the clubs colours will be used on the float. They do need to be there for 12 midday so as to dress up the carnival float. THANKS AGAIN.

I thought it was Margat-or.

Have to admit that Parmenterism was a good one.

Think the outfits cost about £300 though.

Maybe if JP has no copyright on the idea, Margat-or could have been found hidden in the swamps of HDP and make an appearance very snappily

Slight adjustment to Sundays dress-code. As there arent THAT many new shirts available and maybe not everyone wants to buy one and thirdly as we MAY have an overspill of supporters going(fingers crossed they DO turn up)and bearing in mind we MUST be in blue and white to tie in with everything else the decision has been made(hope it dosent upset the sponsor) to allow OLD shirts despite having last seasons sponsor on them.We need as many of the Blue & White army as we can get. Those without a shirt of anykind can still come but could you please try and keep the dress code in blue or white(T.shirt, trousers, dress, jacket etc)

Apologies to those hard working guys and gals that feel a bit let down that the work they have put into the ground/bar etc hasnt brought them the discount that they feel should be appropiate as regards to shirts and that those JUST doing the parade get a chance of a discount. You know who you are and no-one should thank you more than those who for whatever reason COULDNT get to the ground to help. But remember this is a TEAM effort regardless and the carnival parade is by no means a "little" thing. Its equally as important to our club.

Please can I tell you this was arranged solely to get the NEW sponsors name on the road as this was a MUST. This will now be achieved to a degree. New shirts cannot be sold at full price after being worn. Those hard working people spoken about above will no doubt get their just rewards in time I'm sure. In fact I will make it my personnal aim to see that this is done somewhere along the line.

Thanks to those that have said they will come and I am positive that more will now join in on the day. Lets hope so. The deal mentioned about at the beginning still applies so get down to the starting point on Sunday at 12(midday to help get the float ready or at the latest 2-30 to join in the parade.(see details on other thread) If you werent able to help out at the ground then here is a fine opportunity for you to to do your bit. Remember this is a TEAM EFFORT!

Thanks again.
