I agree that we should have a decent 'goal-scoring' striker, that's bleedin obvious, but, I bet as the season starts and the goal drought hits us again (poosibly), there will be a huge majority that will call for Manny's head (as last season with Roy) and begin the "why the hell did we sign him for..." comments... Hope this aint the case, and he really buck's his ideas up and starts putting them away...!!!! Oh, and remains fit and well..!!

If he decides to stay here and stays fit, there is no way Manny would go months without scoring like Roy did. He is a different beast, a quicksilver goalhanging poacher, but a very effective one. Give gim enough half chances, he will snap some up.

Whereas Roy made heavy weather of seemingly simple chances, lacked the pace to outrun defences, and even his arial "power" deserted him.

Given last years form, I for one was not too sad to see Roy released.
