Okay, well done.

Let's start a prediction game:

How long before ED is injured and misses subsequent games?

My guess: 21 minutes of his first game.

There's a lot more in my head but I can't be arsed to write 'em here. I've to be up at 5am for my role in tv drama Holby City.

Games when 90 minutes are completed (zero), games substitued (all, unless injured and subbed first). Goals scored (5).

Why shouild I lose my beauty sleep for this rubbish?

LOL

Oh yes, ‘he’s so old’ I hear the doubters cry.

He’s past it. He’s just topping up his pension. He’s this, he’s that, he’s the other.

Well, they’re all wrong. He’s 32, he’s a Spurs fan, has everything to prove on a one year deal and is what is missing from the Spurs side. These youngsters need a man to take them forward, to show them what is what.

They need to learn to stand up and be counted. They need to learn some real self belief. They need to know that they can get forward, as they did so effectively at times last term, and that old man Edgar will be there to mop up.

He will bring tenacity, bite, dynamism, strength and verve to the Spurs midfield.

It is more the Davids and Jol team, than the effect of the midfielder alone that will be so important. Jol is a strong man, a man of firm belief and with Davids to convey those beliefs on the pitch, Spurs will be an undoubtedly improved outfit.
