Allan Tait will be leaving Crawley for Canvey because Crawley intend to turn full-time. Alan would prefer to remain Part Time.

 

Also Crawley drew last night with Haywards Heath 1-1.

Andy was given the funds to sign both Tait and Essandoh, and in the end decided that he wanted Roy and not Tait. While Roy was scoring at almost a goal a game, nobody was complaining.

I meant "failed" in the sense that it was one of Andy's rare failures by not signing him. I thought at the time, (and still do) that Tait would have been a big asset to the club.

So used in that context, my use of the word failed could be construed as correct.

Is the fact that he would want to stay part time the main reason for the lack of interest from Liam? I suspect it is as it doesn't sit comfortably with the long term plan for all players to be F/T. Certainly most if not all new arrivals here have been on full time terms, only the exsiting part time players have retained their status.

Still worth having though.

hopefully.. could be the ideal replacement for gregory, whom we can use as more of an 'impact' player later on in the game.. (impact in both senses of the word of course)

Tait or Boylan would be nice compared with the bunch of "non-goalscoring" goalscorers we keep being lumbered with (Manny not included because he is class) !
