Hi Callum.

 

This prediction league thingy. It's a piece of cake.

 

In advance of each game, you invite people to predict

a]. The number of goals to be scored by your team,

b]. The number scored by your opponents,

c]. The scorer of your first goal ['no scorer' counts as a prediction]

d]. The attendance.

 

Those four, together with the result of the match, makes five predictions per game. Award one point for each correct prediction of the 5.

 

There are minor details to be discussed by the organising committee. There should be a closing time for entries. [Don't forget that unscrupulous bounders might be tempted to 'edit' their prediction after full time which is likely to give them an unfair advantage over the rest.] Give the attendance point if the prediction is within +/- 10 of the official figure. For cup games, just count the predictions at the end of 90 minutes.

 

That should do it.
