Daish wants 5 strikers

Recommended Posts

If Liam Diash wants 5 strikers and so far has his eye on four.

Charlie McDonald

Manny Omoynimi

Kim Grant

Matt Nolan

Others that we should maybe having a look at are:

Luke Nightingale - Bognor Regis Town, age 22. Luke has had league experience with Portsmouth, and Southend and has also played for Weymouth.

James Dryden - Folkestone Invicta, age 25. The club's record senior appearance holder and goalscorer, plays with both feat and he completed last season when he was voted Supporters' Player of the Year for the third season out of four and played in every league game.

Prince Toku - Previously a Leyton Orient Youth player, age 19.

Nuno Gourgel - Leyton Orient Youth Player. Age 17. Alex Inglethorpe's verdict: Can drop off and receive the ball in deeper positions, has an eye for goal and is a good finisher. Needs to develop on his hold up play.

Surly worth a look at.

Neil Cugley rates Dryden very highly, but would the jump to Conference be one step too far, as we have seen to our cost in the past. At 25, he should be at his peak now, not playing for Folkstone Invicta (with due respect to Invicta fans).

Nightingale interests me, though, he is young enough to keep learning from the likes of MacDonald and Manny, and could be a good aquisition, if the price is right.

Good point about Dryden. Also, looking at Nuno Gourgels' stats he won't have the right experience for conference level.

Im sure Colin Reitz will be able to tell Liam about either Gourgel or Prince Toku and whether or not they ar good enough for GNFC.

Nightingale looks to be the best option.

Owen's looking for a club so I hear.
Would he take our offer of £50 a week + goal bonuses, free cab rides, use of Cascade's Gym and an account at Paddy Power?

I'll throw in a Star Grill doner and a 'Drink As Much As You Can' voucher for the Manor Ale Shades...

5 Strikers.....the way its going we will be lucky to have 2!

Grant seems to have disapeared from the scene (on trial at Forest Green), Noble is wanted by either Cambridge United or Aldershot (if you can believe Ceefax).

That leaves Macdonald (signed) and Omoyinmi (deliberating on whether to sign or not) - both injury prone?

Now some appear to be even talking abount bringing back Paul Booth?

I thought the Fleet were supposed to be going forward, not backwards?

Who on earth is going to be scoring the goals this season?

just 1 question... if Daish wants 5 strikers.. wheres he gonna find strikers that dont want to play because hes probably only going to play 2 at once

We'll be playing the old fashioned traditional way of 2 at the back, 3 in the middle and five up front.
