Uxbridge

I have emailed this to Burnham

"To who it may concern,

I would be very wary of playing Uxbridge in your proposed friendly. Punching people and Intentionaly stamping on a players head after he has been pulled down by two team mates are what Uxbridge seem all about. I suggest someone at your club ring someone at Slough and they will get the facts. I am sure the officials will get the stamper banned, but he may still be playing against you on Tuesday night. After being sent off the stamper showed no remorse and in fact two fingered the Slough fans who were calling him a coward. It was sad to note that although the stamping seemed to be seen by everybody at the ground, not one player from Uxbridge showed any sign of remorse. In fact they blamed the slough players (most of who were kids) and the slough Supporters!

My 11 year old niece normally watches Slough with me, and my friends often bring their three children, I am so glad these kids were not there on that day. I will never pay to watch a game at Uxbridge again, and I recommend you and your club should reconsider playing them.

A concerned Slough fan"

I have also re worded it slightly and have emailed the fa address that has been shown on this forum.

I am still shocked and angry at what I saw. That animal should never play football at any level again.

Well said. It is such a shame that the animals on the pitch let their club down so badly. They have a nice set up but I also do not want to ever see Slough play Uxbridge again. I also think it is very disappointing that no Uxbridge official offered any kind of apology on Saturday or seemingly at an time since.

So do I because it should not be allowed to pass. I personally feel that he should be prosecuted for at least assualt.

Aidan and I went to catch the end of the Burnham game on Saturday and told Matty about the disgraceful display at Uxbridge so hopefully with that and the email they are fully aware. Personally if I were them I would cancel it, its not worth the risk.

He is a copy of my email to the FA.

I would like to draw your attention the Uxbridge v Slough Frierndly . Punching people and Intentionaly stamping on a players head after he has been pulled down by two team mates are what Uxbridge seem all about. I will not go into full detail as I am sure you will read the referees report.

My 11 year old niece normally watches Slough with me, and my friends often bring their three children, I am so glad these kids were not there on that day. I will never pay to watch a game at Uxbridge again, and I recommend you and the FA should consider this a very serious matter.

I expect you will not take much notice of this as it is 'only' non-league, but this was thuggery, and even if you do not take any action with Uxbridge, I can recommend you look at the officials

Referee ; Matthew Downey

Assistant Referee; Stephen Conway

Assistant Referee ; Olla Ali

because they were excellent. The ref had tried to get the Uxbridge players to calm down, there were some hard tackles coming in from both sides, and he was stern with every oneSlough players as well. In fact he told the Uxbridge bench to Sub a player before he sent him off, in my opinion he was trying to keep a friendly game going in the best manner. All three dealt with the situation with with utter calm and professionalism. I normally moan about the officals, but these officials should be praised for their actions.

Please do not ignore this email, or the incident, as a promising young player could have been scarred for life or blinded. It was an intentional attemp to seriuosly injure someone.

(And I supplied my real name)

I agree that this thug should be prosecuted. I for one would be happy to act as a witness, as I saw it clearly.

I expect i will get some non-commital reply to this email to the FA, and In fairness I waffled on as normal!

I do not want this matter to rest!

I don't think this will help their cause either:

Just Got a very nice reply from the FA!

All they could tell me was the referee HAS handed in his report and it will be dealt with in due course. It does not say alot I know, but there was other text in the email, and maybe I am reading into it wrongly, but I got the impression that they had taken notice of my email!!!!

Stone me!

Good work Plinth. I know Emma wanted to express her feelings on the matter and wanted to call Uxbridge, but I will let her know to drop an email in as well. STFC are well aware I have video footage of Ballard being stamped on and I really do hope it is used. Fingers crossed.

Them looking into the matter might explain why there has been a delay in imposing the automatic ban on the two players who were sent off. The FA disciplinary site already has a number of other players awaiting suspension having been sent off in friendlies at the weekend, most notably Lee Hendrie of Villa. I'll keep my eye on the site to see if it gets updated.

Hi all, Have been watching the board with interest mostly because my team Barton Rovers HAS to play Uxbridge in 2 weeks. No choice it's our 1st league game of the season. I remeber them the last time we played as being very physical and had an unsympathetic ref. Still we warmed up nicely at the weekend with a win at Dunstable, where it was reported it should have finished 8-10. Not the score, players left on the pitch !

Was there something in the air at the weekend to cause this aggro ?

Certainly didn't appear to be any reason for the severity of the attack on Ballard. Ballard is the sort of player who puts himself about a bit, so might have been 'targeted' for that reason, but for the majority of the match, there were some bad tackles going in, mainly from them, but some from us as well, which increased the tension, but it appeared from the start they were looking to physically dominate and intimidate us, so be warned. I would hope the main instigators Nicholls and Bamford will not be playing, but judging by the fact Nicholls was winding other players up from the touchline, him being on or off the pitch might not make a difference.

I have been reading your site and thought it would be a good idea to give an Uxbridge view on Saturdays disgraceful events. I would like to start by saying that I hope Stuart Bamford never plays for us again, what he did on Saturday was disgusting.

Some people have mentioned that there was a flare up at our friendly at Arundel last Saturday. Although I wasn't there I believe this incident occured after a two-footed knee high lunge at our keeper, after which tempers became a little fraied.

Having watched Uxbridge for a number of years now I agree that our style of play at times can seem a bit robust, but being competitive is not a crime after all football is not a non-contact sport.

I hope that Saturdays incident will not stop people visiting Uxbridge again and that we will have the chance to welcome you back to Honeycroft in the near future.

I hope Stuart Bamford never plays football for anyone ever again.

Unfortunately, after Saturdays events, I hope and pray we never have to play Uxbridge again. I certainly would not be happy about the prospect. If we did have to go to the Honeycroft, I would turn up to support Slough obviously, but I certainly wouldn't enjoy being there.
