The Hendon guy who films the matches was setup in the stand and as a result of players warming up in front of him, he actually missed a goal. I think the best place intially may well be opposite the main stand. Will give it a try against Leyton and see how we get on. Will have a practice run tomorrow at Hemel to see the quality and such like to see how it gets on.

I rememeber seeing that video too. The guy who did Dover's video stood where you're thinking of standing - opposite the stand, on the halfway line. Good view all round the pitch, with the obvious disadvantage being that it's lower to the ground.

There is the possibility of adding commentary at a later stage to the video, but would obviously require someone to record it. It's quite easy to overlay that over the top of the sound from the footage with the software I'm using, so there's a distinct possibility if someone is willing to give up their time to do it.

It is a great idea certainly for the "classics" and the significant results. I agree with Dom though - it is a shame we are going to lose someone from behind the goal.

There are so many candidates to provide commentary though - perhaps we should set up a poll. Although I think non-live commentary tends to sound contrived and lacking the real emotion - perhaps Gary needs to witter away whilst doing the filming.

Yes Ian, your comments of - "What a bad pass" and "That's never going in" or "Don't shoot from there" - usually preceeds an excellent pass/goal/top corner finish, would detract somewhat from the footage I think. You can stay well clear!

Hey, Murray Walker has made a living out of it so why not me?! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Also, you missed my "don't take it with your left foot" comment to Glen Harris just before he stuck it in the corner with his left foot!
