Carnival reminder - More walkers needed

Yes another reminder about the carnival this coming sunday.I will be pressing for MORE walkers for sunday and reminding people of this important day for our club again and again running up to the day. The promoting of our club, back in town to the people of Thanet.

Much effort has gone into this,mainly from the sponsors,and it will be disastrous if we dont get the heads on the road to give out the vast amount of leaflets and "free" gifts. We have an massive amount to hand out and we need MORE walkers to do this.

Thanks to those that have offered to help already but there must be MORE out there that can help. We need about 5 or 6 guys or girls to turn up at 12 to decorate the float.

Please please make the effort.If others you know who dont come on the forum want to come please inform them to turn up as near to midday as possible. Failing that time 2-30 please.

Come on now please try & get there.

This is a massive concerted effort to show to everyone at one time that the "Gate" are back!

I think he is trying to say it is funny that Ramsgate are trying to get fans from Margate .Which i think will be very hard with Margate being in a higher league. But it is worth a try because there will be people from Broadstairs and St Peters at the carnival aswell so it is not as silly as it sounds

I doubt Ramsgate FC has a float in Margate's carnival.

Yeh i was unaware they where doing one for M carnival. But i did not see what anything funny about the fact we did one for the Ramsgate carnival

For one Ramsgate FC had its opportuntiy at carnival in Ramsgate. It would be grossly unfair for Ramsgate FC to come to the Margate carnival and try to steal Margate FCs thunder.

Did anybody go to the Ramsgate carnival and if so can they tell us what their float was like and as to the walkers. FF maybe you can tell us as you surely would have been involved in that.

Can't see anyone laughing about Rams having a float in carnival,just one person. Dont tar us all with the same brush. Anyway this annons name is anti cookie so he obviously hasn't a brain or sense. Its a free world out there(as we all know) so you would have every right to enter other carnivals including ours though I would have thought you would have been laughed at had you done so. We coudn't enter other carnivals anyway as we only have the lorry available for that day,and anyway its first and foremost the MARGATE people we want to get the message across to and furthermore WE didnt want to encroach on your territory (for the moment) advertising via the Ramsgate carnival. Finally I dont feel it would be right and certainly "not cricket" to try and poach other clubs supporters. And anyway the state of play during the season will be the temptng factor in having your fans and visa versa venturing across the island.

oh dear,seem to have dropped off topic, in all the above posts noone has mentioned if they will actually be there to support the float and hard work put in by MISA and sponser, please give us an idea of who and how many are going to make it,

I have a large quantity of bunting in manufacture and will be there with it, but I need to know where 'there' is. As you know, I am not a native.

Straight along canterbury road from birchington till you come to bridge at Westbrook.Immediately after bridge(more-or-less u-turn, turn left and follow road round to the seafront.We will be up there on the seafront.
