The pre season circus has been in full swing and I have returned to plenty of rumour, fibs, and absolute speculation.

 

Hornchurch.......... The Abramovich of the ESL. Favourites, but disliked by their antics and attitude.( Never buys friends )

 

Burnham........... The lads enticed to Abramovich land have returned having been promised riches and pots of gold. Retained Mr Portway and O'reilly. A real underdog.

 

Romford........... Well advertised tale of woe, but silent contenders ( I hope)

 

Tilbury............. Mr Cross wuld be a great poker player and their closed season activities have been behind closed curtains! ( Watch This space)

 

Waltham Abbey............. Like Romford have been raped of the backbone of their squad, but as has been proved have a spirit that warrants respect.

 

 

Eton Manor.................. Kirk is as shrewd a wheeler and dealer that you will find. No home but an abundance of enthusiasm and East London togetherness. Good luck Kirk, Larry, Sue and of course the very well loved and respected REG.

 

London Apsa........... Turmoil is the description of their close season exploits. Glad to hear Anjum and John are back. All the best boys.

 

 

Southend Manor.......... Many a bone to pick with everyone at league meetings. Why? You play in a public park. Steve the boss has a bond with reidy. Proffessional or football?

 

Hullbridge................ What a nice club and football loving chairman in Terry Scourfield. Forget the past, keep trying to play football. Never a poor spectacle.

 

 

Brentwood............ Plenty of movement here from all over the ESL and Barking reserves as I understand. Unknown but a very social based group of players who may just enjoy a friday night too many. Lost our own Scott Walsh to these.

 

Basildon............... Under Johnny Doyle he will insist on spirit and commitment. Honest guy who was with the boro and 100% committed. If his players dont supply he will let them know.

 

 

Bowers........... Have not found out to much at the moment , but understand the loathed figure of Compaq 7500 aka Darran George is not at the helm.

This is only a bonus to the club. ( Biased)

 

Barkingside.......... Rod is a man of passion and will insist his team supply the guile and craft on a superb surface at Oakside. Again been invaded by the abramovichs apparentley.

 

Sawbridgeworth........... Who likes Mr Watters ( manager) Reidy dont. Looking to sell ground and move on which may be their gravy train next year. Worst dressing room in the ESL.

 

Stansted.............. Is Mr Mercer still buying boots. Whatever the man is a leader, winner and nice bloke. An example to all. Been at the boro and if you want to show an example to younger players about ability and application. This is a legend who deserves recognition to his services to football. I appeal to ALL to echo this motion.

 

Concord............ Successful year before last. That was with money. Better players have moved on, but under jenko will always be a force to be reckoned with.

 

 

Hopefully covered all whilst jet lagged.In depth personal views whilst not at the entertainment resorts, but bathing round a pool following the ESL.

That way unlike others I have not put ourselves on a pedalstal to be knocked off. Cant get carried away. Bit of open banter. Get off your high horse pal and treat the website with the opinions it deserves, and debate rather than big time, I am attitudes which will or may see your demise.

i also resent comments that certain players came cack to burnham for money. that is not actually the case, THEY ASKED to come back home where they belonged.

 

i find it rather foolish of you QNQ to make comments regarding other clubs when firstly you have been away for a month and secondly you have nothing to do with any other club.

 

i am surprised to say the least as wouldnt have expected it from your self.

 

anyway...moving on. roll on the new campaign and good luck to all inc. romford for the season and lets hope it is fought out til the end in competitve yet friendly fashion.
