According to today's edition of the authoritative Non League Newspaper, the powers that be at the FA have finally decided on the structure of level 4 commencing season 2006/7.

 

This restructure will, as proposed, include the denuding of level 5 leagues to make up the 31 club disparity in the newly formed level 4 league constitution.

 

Buuuuuut. Wait for it. The FA don't think that they will have time to produce the plans to reduce the current 15 level 5 leagues down to the 12 planned leagues also in time for the 2006/7 season.

 

According to my reckoning that denuding has the potential to reduce the Essex Senior League to just 11 clubs.

 

On that basis I wonder if the league committee has an emergency plan in place (for instance) for how many league games will be played during season 2006/7 with and 11 or 12 team league(i.e. will each team play each other 3 or 4 times) and how the league and GB cups will be constituted.

yeah luppy I have a few...firstly the NLP is about as credible as Mr Ali.. the Minister for Disinformation in pre war baghdad... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

secondly...there is no way that the scenario printed can actually work and the FA aint that daft....

 

thirdly....the safest bet is to get the fck out of dodge by getting promnotion and as I understand matters....3 teams at least will move up...

So when are the FA going to let us know the truth about level 5 for next season then? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/alert.gif" alt="" />
