And with the signing of the highly-rated Holloway (ex-Arsenal and FA Youth Cup winner), perhaps that leaves only the strikers for people to moan about... and MacDonald, along with Grant and Manny if we keep both, isn't a bad return.

 

By comparison with previous close seasons, this is certainly a busy time. Obviously, quantity isn't quality, but we had much more to moan about two years ago.

Or you could believe the link I posted? Which comes from our local paper. As a matter of fact I actually run Farnborough's Official website and had to change my story on Craig on Monday as I was told by our Secretary that the transfer had still not gone through.

The news page on the official site clearly indicated that he has signed, which is a bit more concrete than has agreed a contract.

It is unlike Dave H or Fleet to put out anything definite unless it is confirmed in writing, unless poor info is being issued from the board/manager.

As I understand the position, we had agreed a fee with farnborough and agreed terms with Holloway, only for farnborough to come back later and say that they want more money.

 

The current position is that no-one is happy, Holloway doesn't want to be at Farnborough, Farnborough get no money and an unhappy player and we don't get our goalkeeper.

 

That's what you get for thinking that you were dealing with gentlemen who's word meant something.
