Progress Update from HDP

From www.margate-fc.com

mfc is pleased to announce that replica Home and Away shirts will be available from the office at Hartsdown Park from 12.30pm on Monday 1st August. Season tickets will also be on sale at the office from Monday onwards (Adults £140, Concessions (OAPs, U18s and full-time students) £90).

mfc has to report that the stadium development programme is currently running a week behind schedule, due to the recent heavy rainfall. The inspection by the Ryman League has duly been postponed by a week, but preparations for our first home game on Saturday 20th August, versus Maldon Town, in the Ryman Premier League, remain on track, and officials from Thanet Council have been invited to attend.

As yet we have no news to report on our CVA. We are however expecting news from the Administrators early next week, and this will be shared with you, the fans, as soon as we have any news.

Work has started on the delivery of the business case, and viability study, and we hope to present this to the local authorities by the end of September.

All outstanding staff and player wages have been paid in full, and we are pleased to announce that all programme advertising space has been sold. We are however able to offer perimeter board advertising, as well as match sponsorship - for more information on the advertising opportunities that mfc offers, please visit our commercial department at http://commecial.margate-fc.com.

The Club regrets to inform fans that Victoria Roby has decided to seek her future elsewhere. She has resigned her position as Company Secretary and Administration Manager, and mfc wishes her all the best in her new career. The Directors would therefore like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Vicki for her resolute hard work, and effort over the period that she has spent with the Club.

Up the GATE!

Cheers for the update. Thats great news.

Ill be there to get the shirts Monday afternoon then. Cant wait. Finally I wont have to go into the pub with my old (red stripe down the side) white England shirt. How much do the replica shirts cost?

The delays are OK, since the pitch will still be ready for the start of the season even taking into acount that delay.

Looking forward to see what the programme will look like.

1. "CVA news next week" - could be awful

2. Ryman inspection put off,but will they be happy and pass the ground when they do arrive - and if not what happens then?

WE ARE STILL IN THE S**T

Worried. Progress is being made and most of the work is cosmetic now. The bases for the seats have been completed and so they just need to be lifted into place when they arrive, and bolted into position. The Hartsdown Rd stand is completed, I believe, as I was there on Monday. The floodlights need lifting into position, but a cherry picker is needed to complete. All cables are in for them. New lights have been fitted to the stand. The main thing that needs doing are the pitch surrounds, but the holes for them have been created. I think there is a small terrace going in at the Coffin end, according to the plans, which again should not take too long. Everything else around the ground is to be tarmaced which is not a great job to do. There is plenty of time for the ground to be completed on time and the weather for this week is good.

If you are worried and if you have any spare time, your help will always be welcome. I believe the ground is at the point where things will all start coming together quickly,if you look again this time next week you will see a big change. I believe by a week wensday it will be almost there. So don't worry give your spare time.
