Just reading a post about the Margate-Dover friendly (1-1 in case your interested) and noticed that the Dover website were doing a live text commentry for the game. Now I don't know what New Lodge has in terms of online computers or more importantly people who would be bothered to do it during the game (possibly from the gallary area?), but it would be nice for people who can't make games for whatever reason to be able to know whats happening especially in the "big" games. I expect that this isn't going to be possible but thought I'd put the idea out there to be shot down...

I'm sure somebody technical can say something about laptops or bluetooth wireless technology or something. Perhaps just a phonecall to somebody every 15mins or so who can update it?

Football fan, play off final held at the home ground of the finalist who finished higher in the league.

 

Re play off game, there was indeed a live update. I think the way that one worked was someone with a wap phone would somehow update the site remotely. I seem to remember when we played Dorking they had the same thing, and AFCW are part fo it too. Maybe ask Big JR for more detials.

 

The site is www.matchdayupdates.com , and we are listed as one of the clubs there.

 

To provide a service on the same level as DOvers would be much harder i believe, involving someone sitting there through each match with a laptop, tapping up a mini report as it happens. I kinow i certainly wouldnt want to spend my matchdays doing that, but maybe thered be someone more generous than me willing to do it.
