Isn't Aimar more of an attacking midfielder?

I would imagine he has a good three seasons left in him. Whether he spends all three at Spurs remains to be seen.

I, personally, think it's a pretty good signing.

Tommy Collins' 'facts' are slightly twisted. He forgot to mention that, before Davids' arrival, Barcelona were a mid-table side, and the arrival of this dutch legend transformed them.

So he only completed 20% of matches. What does that prove?

Gazza only completed 20% of matches in the 1991 FA Cup. He scored six goals on the way and we won the competition.

Rooney only completed 20% of matches in Euro 2004. But he was a revelation.

That particular statistic is the product of someone who knows nothing about the game.

Edgar Davids may only play 60 minutes of each match next season, but if his experience and influence can make the difference between us being a mid-table side and a side pushing for the Top 5 or 6, then what does it matter??

Gazza and Rooney were strikers, if they couldn't finish a game the midfield and defence could hold out.

When your star midfielder/playmaker/general goes off with half an hour to play the opposition can make hay in the holes that are left.

It doesn't bother me that you mock me now because you'll see it it the season to come.

I look forward to seeing the colourful Davids character in our league this season, don't get me wrong, he's just not your saviour.

You laugh at Flamini, yet our main Viera replacement is Cesc Fabregas - quality and youth, you don't mention him do you?

Finally, Rooney not finishing matches for England lost us Euro 2004. If he'd finished the game against Portugal we'd have won it, and then beaten Greece in the final. So those statistics do count for us who follow football properly.

I'm knackered in all truth. Still hungover from Friday night, and just been playing a couple of hours' tennis too!

And now this afternoon I've got to work!

Work on a Sunday afternoon? That is harsh!

Not bad for 2 and a half hours. As long as Office Woman isn't there to annoy you!!
