Not me I'm afraid. Boxing day in my famly is always spent at my Grandparents who don't live localy.

 

Would hate to miss this one <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bawling.gif" alt="" />

 

However, if playing on Boxing Day would generate more revenue for the club then I'm all for that

so we could play either monday our tuesday which is also a bank holiday...hey listen up....one of the teams in our league will play us home and away over the holidays....bank on it....

 

hopefully the boro...if not brentwood will do or nicely.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Couldn't you move your game on the 17th to the 26th? Last Saturday before Xmas is notorious for bad attendances.

Alot of clubs have done it before. A couple of seasons ago we moved our game on the Saturday before Xmas to the Friday night in an attempt to get a bigger crowd.

 

Only prob is the cold weather tends to hit with a vengeance around Boxing Day as we found last season!!!

yeah but thats what makes it so much a must do game....

 

cold fresh air...blue skies with a hint of purple clouds bearing late afternoon snow....hog roasts and pickles...mulled wine and real casked ales....warm mince pies and hot sausage rolls....

 

noon kick off with the breath beginning to freeze in front of you...woolley gloves and moon boots...chrissie jumpers and hats and duffle coats...hip flasks with hot chocolate and brandy

 

fck it....
