With our first Conference season now in the distant past we all start to plan for this years campaign with optimistic enthusiasm i hope.

With regards to the away games we were forced to change our coach provider a couple of months into last season for comfort and safety reasons but unfortunately at a cost. Because of the increased mileage and journey times we are forced to increase coach prices but these will be kept to an absolute minimum depending on numbers using the coach.

We will start the season by charging £15 to all away games near or far (£18 for non-members)in the hope that we can maintain this at least for all league games.

Our awayday coach users have now enjoyed the best value transport for 13 years since the days of Les and the Thamesway Flyer started it all off for £5 a head. It is a subsidised service and we need to encourage it's use by as many as possible so that the cost's do not have to increase yet further.

I for one do not fancy driving to away games if the coach service was forced to discontinue due to lack of numbers!!

Any thoughts on this subject would be appreciated since many posters on here are ever present regulars on the coach year after year.

I will pay however much it costs to get to away games. I don't drive and the coach is my only lifeline to away games. If a coach doesn't run, more often than not I don't get to away games.

 

The numbers who travelled on the coach last year was not bad but could have been more.

I used the coach for the first time at the end of the season and was worried that I would be treated like an outkast. How wrong was I. Had a great day.Everyone was friendly even when I made a complete tit of myself.

Excellent value. Gives you plenty of time to go to the pubs (not that I drink lol) and you dont ave to drive home.

We dont wanna lose it. The organisers do a great job - keep it up! I will be travelling away more often now with the knowledge that you're all a great friendly bunch. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Ill be on the coach as usuall no matter how much we have to pay. It is honestly the best way to travel for an away game. No matter what the result we always have a good laugh, plenty of drinking time before the game and we travel in comfort.

 

If anyones reading this who hasnt used the away travel before then honestly give it a go, you wont be dissapointed. The more the merrior.

 

Lets all start by filling the coach for Accrington

the coach has been great over the for some people the only way the to get to the game so i think we should all give chris and big <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> for putting the coach on and taking us to the game year after year well done mate <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bounce.gif" alt="" />
