Just have to say thanks to Margateshot & I think it was his son. Came all the way from Croydon to help out at the ground.Thats dedication for you. Clubhouse looking great & all and re-painted. Inside clubhouse the guys have done wonders.

Perimeter fencing (tivoli road end) is well on its way to being finished and word has it that the floodlights may be erected tomorrow.

Pitch enjoying some well needed soaking.

All in all things improving at a good rate.

Sometimes it is well worth reflecting on the dedication some people show. I remember old Jim Cullen doing the pitch - I'm sure the old boy just used to guess the centre circle!!

When you look at Jeff's site, and the followers we have far and wide, that's one reason why we are all so hopeful about heading back in the right direction.

Just to flatter you Cookie, you show amazing dedication and energy for the cause as well. Good on you mate hope to meet you this summer - I probably have already but can't put a face to the name.

Thank you Graeme but I do no more than all those fans who are and have been putting in some sterling work. We are all in it together as a team OFF the field. Some guys are doing much much more but dont come onto the website and deserved praise must go to those guys and girls. Will be nice to put a face to your name as it was today with Margateshot. Maybe we should all turn up at a game with stickers on our foreheads, with our website name on them. Maybe a "special" night out at the clubhouse purely for those that are registered on the forum could be arranged. What a get together and introduction night that would be. Just a thought!

Cookie, thanks for the compliments. Just got back. It was good to be able to help and Daniel (yes my son) had a great time. I don't think he has ever worked so hard!! It was also nice to see what is happening with the ground.

This seems to be a very interesting idea and I hope that it does indeed take place and that everybody has a great time. I'm afraid that it would be a little too far for me to come (from British Columbia) but I would dearly love to do so. It would be very pleasant for me to meet some of the very enthusiastic supporters whose post-

on this Forum I read every day.

I'm hoping to revisit my old stomping grounds in Thanet sometime later this year when the season is well under way and be able to see a game or two and to perhaps meet some of you in person. I've not seen a game in Hartsdown Park since 1982 (I think) but I well remember the last one that I did see:-

Margate 6 Folkstone 0.

A Kent League game.

Best wishes to all.

Yes Anon, thank you, I have and it brought back many memories of all of the successes and achievements of the past. I am more than confident that the club is now well set to repeat much of that success and a great deal of that success will be because of the continuing loyal support of the Margate F.C. fans. Thank you for you reply.
