Dover on Tuesday night

This will be a true test ,and toughest pre-season friendly imo.

Dover are obviously better than a league below us, and they have already got their team fairly settled for the season, whereas we seem weeks behind.

Beginning to worry about the team now, as we do seem to be lacking quality signings.

Fear that Wilkins will show how rubbish we continue to be in defence and in the air.-maybe a good thing as it will inspire CK to sign a tall and mobile defender.

Dovers midfield is also pretty good.

A crushing defeat in this friendly may not be a bad thing as it will show CK how much is needed;before the real stuff starts

Interesting sub-plot with the Chapman thing ,but unfortunately looks like he is heading Dovers way.

Footballfan, for someone who spends so much time on this forum - do you ever spend time reading the posts from others to find out what is going on? There are no pre-season friendlies at HDP, the pitch is currently being laid and the ground undergoing redevelopment for the start of the new season. Think about it, where is the game likely to be played?

So you want to make excuses eh! Go on then we'll let you! Grin my [****!!****]! Just a bit of banter Rob just a bit of fun! I am still laughing he he he! Just accept you made a [****!!****]-up and didnt think before posting. It takes a man to own up to a mistake Rob. You'll get more respect that way too.

It dosent really matter anyway. We are all poking fun at you but its all just a bit of fun hence the grin!

My apologies Footballfan. Based on previous evidence I hadn't credited you with wit. Now that I know I will look out for it in the future. Come to think of it I think I would describe your post as sarcasm rather than banter and as we all know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but wit it is nonetheless. Keep it up!

Dover Athletic are hoping to run their MatchdayLive text in-running match text on their website - and there should be post-match audio interviews too.

I am sure they will get quotes from Chris Kinnear.

Ok - Read your own matchday commentary then. He was only pointing out for the benefit of Margate fans who can't get to Crabble (we know there are plenty of them by the lack of crowds when you played league games here) on the night. There's no need for sarky one-liners particularly when your own club is in the situation it is.

Agreed that seasidesteve didnt need to make that comment but in reply you didnt need to be just as sarcastic with your MORE than one line sarcastic comments. Maybe you both should call it a draw now. The information you gave will surely be invaluable to those that cant get there for genuine reasons.

And what position are you referring to that we are in. We are now in a much better position than we were and a league higher than you and now in a better position than your club is in.That comment didnt make sense within the context of the remarks made.

We will indeed be running the live text tomorrow night on our site. There are not too many clubs in non-league who provide this kind of service and I hope those of you who cannot make it will find it of some benefit.

I know Cookie would like to start a similar service at Margate in the future.

Our MatchdayLive reporter Tom Crawley will try and get an audio interview with Chris Kinnear at the end. This should be online before midnight, along with other interviews he will conduct, on Tuesday night.

Thanks Justin. Yes,when I contacted you last year about this I then contacted our webmaster who in turn said that its not easy to do as you need someone at the ground with a telephone or whatever. I havent mentioned it since so it looks like we may not get the same. I think its a great idea to have this. Thanks for your assistance concerning this anyway. You are doing a fine job down there.
