Dunstable 5 Us 2

Recommended Posts

With the exception of Bastock and Ben Martin, probably our strongest possible line-up started this one. Loads of offsides in the first half but rather worryingly our central defence appeared to have stayed at home. This proved to be the case as the home side cruised into a 2-0 (or was it 3-0) lead by half-time without us unduly troubling their keeper.

After they went 3-0 up we started playing a bit, and a good cross from the right was smartly headed home by Clarkey, who once again showed some unnecessary petulance at times.

Dunstable soon afterwards made it 4-1 but Paul Hakim reduced the arrears about 5 minutes from time but with about a minute to go the score increased to 5-2.

A fairly lacklustre performance by all but 2 or 3 of ours while Dunstable seemed to be treating it as a cup-tie. A distinct lack of direction was apparent both on and off the pitch. When's Lord Lippy back?
