Ryan Spencer ?

Ryan Spencer turned out for Staines on Wednesday in their friendly against Yeovil. Had a quick word with him as he came off - he hasn't signed for them - merely a trial game. Anyone know if he is expected to start the season with us ? (Apols if I've missed a thread covering this already but have been away for a week).

 

Michael Murphy has looked very solid for Staines in the Brentford and Yeovil games(I missed the Reading game). However, CJ looked as lightweight as ever - shows a few nice touches, but no end-product.

 

Staines should be in the reckoning this season - but will we ??????

To be honest Mike, I think the general rumour was that Spencer had been released. Don't think I ever saw it officially come out from the club though.

 

As for us, I'll just be happy to have a competetive team out on the pitch. Given our continuing off field problems which continue to hamper the playing side of things, we're lucky to even have a team!
