Slough Town Matchday Programme

Hello all, as always I'm looking for contributors for the programme. Would any of you like to write an article for the first home programme v Leyton on Tuesday 23rd August?

Here's some examples of what you could write about if you're unsure: Your predictions/expectations for the season OR your thoughts on the other teams in our division OR any general views on non-league OR your view on Mark West becoming assistant to Eddie. If you fancy writing something and seeing your name in the programme then leave me a message here or send me an email to: programme@sloughtownfc.net

Cheers in advance! Glen

We had a mini meeting at the end of last season on ideas to improve the programme and make it the best in the league (Northwood have gone which helps, but after seeing AFC Wimbledon's on Saturday it will be hard to beat there's). One idea was a Meet The Fans page with a little write up about our various supporters and hopefully a picture. We are gonna start the season with Dave the programme, cos , well he's a legend even if he can't spell (and i'm sure everyone is dying to know just how old that scarf really is!)

After that it's up to you lot - please recommend people to me - info@forestgarden.fsnet.co.uk or Glen. We could link the feature with peoples birthdays (biggies like 21, 50, 100), wedding anniversiarys, for services to the club - whatever, up to you lot to come up with some ideas and recommendations.

i've been following slough for a number of years now and one of the big bug bears is not having a list of all the teams in the division with addresses and phone numbers, at least for the first few home games, yes directions each week are helpful but if for what ever reason you miss the match or the demand outstrips the supply of programmes then you miss the directions, and not all of us have access to a computer,it's a thing thats been suggested previous years but has never appeared for whatever reason. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

big trucker, these should be available at the start of the season either from the supporters hut, or from the club shop. I have tried in the past to print out full directories for the season which included, directions, club phone numbers, website, map (where available) for each club. This will be completed on the site and also be printed out so people can collect at matches. I'll get on with this again this season and make sure they are available for our first home game against Leyton on Tuesday 23rd.

Hi Stoke Poges Rebel, thanks for your suggestion.

We did do some player profiles last season, which is similar to an interview. Although if you or any others have any suitable questions for which I can ask the players or indeed any other ideas for the programme, then please leave me a message on the forum or email me at: programme@sloughtownfc.net

Here's another idea.

An interview with the coach driver.

It may only be a one off article, but it would be interesting with all the places he's been to with us.

I am assuming that it is the same driver each time, not having been on the coach.

We need people to take on writing up an away day page for the programme. Things like

How was the Journey

The Ground

The Programme

Slough performance

Rebel Man of the Match

The Crowd

Size of away support

The Food

Clubhouse and beer

Place to have a kickabout

Any more?

First one would obviously be for the Billericay game, and have to be with Glen by the 23rd Aug.

Any takers or do we have twist arms?

Glen, I believe Alan Harding has given you a list of player sponsorship names. Under my real name, I am down to sposor Ian Lovegrove. Can this be shown in the prog as Martin "Grandad" Lovegrove.

Much appreciated. Cheers.
