mikefleet
i see the Gills are moving up in the world with Carl Wilson Dennis, he was playing at Newport County. If only we played the gills in a friendly this year i think we would win for a change
Drummer Scott
It would of been good to beat them. I think a friendly against them always makes a good atmosphere as well.

If I get to every away trip this season with the added price of a season ticket it will actually cost more than the £810 my dad paid for his Chelsea season ticket. I was speaking to an away travelling supporter earlier in the summer and he said it cost him £200-300 for his trip to Carlisle. Oh dear another "fall flat on your face" post from AFF. Red Neck
Yours is a similar story to mine, Upfleet. First game was Chelsea v Leeds Utd in the early 70's, Chelsea won 4-0, from then on I was hooked. Thirty years on I still check Chelseas results each week and watch them on TV whenever they're on. Since my two sons started to take an interest in football, Arsenal and Chelsea respectivly, I looked into taking them to the occasional game, but found it was far to expensive and beyond my means. However, with Stonebridge Road only down Galley Hill I found I could keep everyone happy. That was 99-2000 and we've loved every minute of it ever since. My eldest boy rarely goes now, but myself and my youngest are proud to say we are regulars, both home and away. In the past six seasons we've travelled the length and breadth of England, and have got to know other regulars. We've all had a moan about players, performances and other supporters at times, but generally you couldn't wish to meet a greater bunch of people. We've always been made welcome, so that is another reason we keep coming back, season after season. Here is to another great season and hopefully some silverware. Oh contraire.....That 810 pounds is for home games only.......Obviously not a maths genius........Or any kind of genius! Another FACTLESS post from Harry J! Harry J Allstars
I wouldn't have gone to away games watching Chelsea, that was half the [****!!****] trouble. It being increasingly difficult to get hold of tickets to away games drove me away. So then on reflection, I would have paid £810 to watch Chelsea, yet WILL pay considerably more to watch the Fleet. UP FLEET
My fondest memory of spurs will alway be the night ricky villa and ardiles made thier home debuts and i was there it was a brilliant night even though we got stuffed. Wouldnt it be ace to say in say 10 years time as a top league club ,that we was there when the fleet won the ryman.Who says you cant dream? i've been doing long enough with bloody tottenham and i dont intend to give up now. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Temper, temper, Harry. You'll burst a blood vessel! Comparing prices, Chelsea at home, to Fleet home AND away does not add up! You were comparing like to like. Your mistake ,not mine! Temper, temper, Harry. You'll burst a blood vessel! Comparing prices, Chelsea at home, to Fleet home AND away does not add up! You were comparing like to like. Your mistake ,not mine! Right listen mate, your a nice bloke but this time you've got it wrong. To go to all Chelseas match's this season would have been a heck of a lot of money and a lot more than going to all Fleet match's, but being at Chelsea I wouldn't have gone to all match's, I'd have only gone to the home games. That would have cost me £810 Watching Fleet home and away would have cost a lot more than that and thats what I will do. So in other words if I watch chelsea I only pay £810 but if I watch the Fleet it cost's more. Your the one thats comparing like for like, not me. It wouldn't working comparing like that anyway because of the different amount of games my Chelsea season ticket will cost in ratio to what my Fleet one will cost. The question you asked was will it be cheeper for me to watch Chelsea or the Fleet? Answer above! Please mods close this thread.
