Give him one more chance????????

What for, he missed most, if not all, of the crosses he came for last night, was at fault for all first half goals, did not appear to be able to kick the ball from hand etc. etc.

No he's had his opportunity and from my point of view he blew it

No matter how good Smith is at centre back, he is inexperienced at Conference level, the last thing you want there for is a goalkeeper behind him that makes as many mistakes as Kerr did last night.

His performance was as sorry as the Stonebridge Road stand looked.

Because considering him a rubbish 'keeper after one performance that you consider poor is jumping the gun somewhat, perhaps?

What, like the second one, where he was left completely exposed, made two blocks and couldn't quite reach the third shot?

Two performances.......one against a far inferior team ie.Folkestone.

Be honest..did he inspire any confidence last night? In my view no he did not.

Did he look anywhere as capable as perhaps either Wilkerson or Pullen.....not he did not.

Did he look completely out of his depth.......yes he most certainly did.

In answer to your comment about being left exposed for the second goal, I refer you to my comments about the need for a strong shot-stopper behind an inexperienced centre back.

Should he be given another chance.......in my view no, unfortunately Daish probably has other ideas.

What more could he have done for that second goal, though?

OK, so it wasn't a classic goalkeeping performance by any means, but we have to give him a fair crack of the whip, surely? After losing Pullen and Wilko, beggars can't be choosers.

The position of goal keeper is probably one of the most, if not the most important position in any team.

If an outfield player makes a mistake, it is usually not that important and is forgotten. If a goalkeeper makes a mistake however, it usually leads to a goal and possibly the ultimate loss of league points.

It is therefore absolutely essential that any team has a goalkeeper they can depend upon, one that will command his penalty area and one that will 'pull the strings' in terms of controlling much of what goes on defensively.

Unfortunately what I saw last night, from both goalkeepers, did not fulfill either of the above criteria. Both would, in my view, represent a weak-link in the side.

Accepting second best should not be an option. The fact that we have 'lost' Wilkerson and Pullen should not mean that we accept whats available as a 'freebie'. The position of goalkeeper is far too important a position in any team for that. Beggars can, and should be, choosers!
