Pre Season Results

Are a pretty bad indicator of league form to be honest... Had a look at the past 4 seasons:

 

In 2001/02 we won just 1 out of 7 (drew 3). This was the worst of the 4 seasons, but we went on to win the first 5 games and finish the season in a pretty reasonable 8th (I think).

 

Last year's results were nothing special either (won 2, drew 2, lost 2) but we had a pretty decent season overall.

 

The best of the 4 seasons was 2003/04 when we won 5 out of 7... but lost 5 on the bounce at the start and finished down near the bottom.

So we want either an indifferent pre season or a crap one...

 

Actually, think what comments we'll get from those ever so nice people, our tennents, Chelmo Town <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />, if we did have a bad pre season...

 

Of course, they were on form on Saturday. Club house empty except for the Southend supporters who praised the clubhouse and said they do like visiting our "hollowed" ground. Perhaps we can play them next pre season as Chelmo Town (awfully nice people <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />) will not be playing at New Lodge to entice them.

Okay, a comment to keep you happy you as you're trying ever sooo hard today...now, let's see.... No, we couldn't care less about your pre-season.

Yeah, I saw the crowd, Southend supporters which must've made up about 80% of the crowd...

 

Oh I'm sure, looking on various other sites, there are some awfully nice Chelmo people that would like to comment on our pre season if we have an indifferent one.

....which was no surprise to us it being SUFC's first game since winning the play-off final.

 

Nah. The pre-season results mean absolutely nothing...it's league and cup results that count. Mid-table finish will do us and we'll just have to miss out on playing you next season....

Near the bottom, stop trying to jazz it up you finished in the relegation zone and were therefore relegated.
