I received a pleasant surprise when looking through my local paper to see that the Fleet are playing here (New Milton) on Saturday.

As a lad many years ago (1950's and 60's) I supported the team and remember well the era of Jimmy Logie (ex Arsenal) and the great FA Cup run to the fourth round only to be beaten by Sunderland away in a replay after holding them to a draw at home (and they only equalised right on full time!)

I went to the FA Cup game at Aston Villa a few years back.

I have always followed the clubs fortune and must say have been a bit disappointed over the years, maybe this year.........

I will be there on Saturday to check over the latest team.

It was very good to hear from a displaced fan. It would be nice to hear from other fans who now live in different parts of the country. When we went to York last season there were at least half a dozen "unknowns" at the visitors end ( this doesn't include Huddersfield's BB or SN who separately travelled from Leeds). One man mentioned as we were leaving that he now lived in Selby. Tell us your stories.

Leaving Exeter last season I encountered the Devon living family of Fleet followers. They had managed to get to four games I think they said. The things is I'm sure I had encountered them before, and I think even before hand I was thinking were they going to be at this game as it was considered to be a local derby for them.

They did seem to gloat about the fact that I had to travel all they way back to Gravesend during the late hours of the evening. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
