Ceefax today?. Our favourite manager Mr Westley Esq, is mouthing off again. Apparently, Stevenage are going to win ,not only the Conference,but the Trophy as well.Why???, because " the lads" are " angry at missing out on promotion last year". so there it is. No doubt Mr Westley will shortly announce that during the summer he has also discovered a cure for cancer, a cure for Aids & created peace in The Middle East.

Still, at least he claimed earlier on in the summer that it'd be his own fault if Stevenage failed to win the Conference this season. Plenty of room for embarrassment later on there then.

So interpret that however you wish.

We all know that the best sides do not always win the league but my guess is, and it is only that, Mr Inglethorpe intended his comment to be taken that Exeter would win the league.

 

That's the beauty of the english language so many ways to say the same thing.
