I find it strange(from afar), that such a great mark in the History of the Club(apparently), is being treated so flippantly..........Then again this is Northfleet.......History proves this has always been the way with the Club!

Where did Northfleet United play before moving to there Stonebridge Rd.ground.

Always played there. Gravesend played in Central Avenue, I think?

I think they played at another site before moving to present ground.

In the early years Northfleet United played at a number of grounds:

 

One was where Blue Circle now stands, another was where the Six Bells now serves drinks in Old Perry Street and a third was at Collins Meadows, now Huntley Avenue.

Interesting thing, though, is they dont have a 1st team game that day.

 

Given that the season proper starts the following Saturday, I wouldnt think either ourselves or Charlton wouldwant last minute injuries. That said,perhaps we'll get a half of 1st team?

Cheers Dave that explains flint walls in photos must have been taken behind church.The watering hole was The Dove which stood in the corner by the church that explains a lot.Do you have any players names from that era might be some old Northfleet families that still support the Fleet after 100 years plus.
