the boys played really well yesterday...especially as they were playing a team from higher leagues who have played together as a team in a real match situation before...were as we are now in a lower league with a group of (talented) players who have been in training for wot can only be about 2 months and not played in a real match together before...they are gonna need time to gel and get used to each other so personally i dont fink we could have hoped for a better result yesterday...well done boys!!

I thought yesterday was encouraging in many ways.

 

Of course, on the pitch, I thought we played some nice football at times and Nicky Cowley especially impressed me.

 

Off the pitch too. Whats changed?? Nothing is the answer. The same faces, the same bar staff, the same banter on the terraces. Even ol' Unc was back on his perch on the Riverside!

listen deano...my comments were nothing to do with our opponents yesterday....the comments were aimed at true urchin fans who will have understood them...

 

you have just blundered into the thread without any understanding of the meaning of it...

deano is probably a romford fan and i make him right on a lot of things

 

now eastdide would you sooner watch a west ham x1 at bridge avenue or go to the met police ground and watch romford x1 play a ilford x1 ?

 

would it be better to be in a crowd of over 900 or take a bone for that mans dog at the met police ground

 

deano mate come over the bridge this coming season and have a look around...talk to some people and have a beer.....read the programe....

have a burger.....watch the match ..then come on and tell us what you think....it aint a bad place mate and maybe just maybe you might quite like the place

i would rather watch a west ham x1 playing the mighty urchins,i would rather watch emh play the urchins than romford v ilford,i have only seen one post by deano and i have that opinion,i may in fact go and watch romford play if hornchurch aren't playing this season,but i doubt he would do the same!!

I know i am very sad zody but looked at all his/her posts and i would say a romford fan with more than one name?

was agreat day yesterday zody over 900 there the sun was shining the fans singing and our lads showed they can play a bit...kingy hit the bar on 2 mins asa had a header cleared off the line...catain jordon bostock a true leader

 

yes zody a good day was had by all....

 

maybe deano was there? who knows

i think you need everyone you can get,sadly i wasnt there on the rebirth of your club(something more entertaining came to hand)but ive heard it was a very successful day although you were beaten by a youth team,still never mind as long as you enjoyed yourself(must get out more often)perhaps your birthday.
