late at work and too far to attend last night but according to the report we continue to stumble in attempting to find the correct balance between the front, the middle and the back

For me the team looked best and gained best results when all three departments played to a common policy

IE when in doubt put the ball out but at all other times pass,move and pass

So what is different now? at least three of the back four clear the ball over the mid-field at every opportunity and one non-defender is attempting to come to terms with being out of position

 

Harsh ? no. the problem is that long ball teams can hit their stride from kick one where!as footballing sides need early ball (to feet) movement to find their form and only then when all eleven are attempting the same ball moving tempo

At least some good came out of it then,
