Pat Gradley has agreed a new contract to stay with Margate. Manager Chris Kinnear described this as another good, solid signing to ensure the Club starts to move back in the right direction.

I would say that when he was fit he played very well. That was a period of probably a dozen games mid-season, hopefully with a good pre-season behind him he'll start in good shape and he should do well.

Imo if Gradley had been playing in those gamesJan-March we would not have lost so many and would still be in conf. south.

 

We are a better team with PG in the side, and as said above, i don't think he was fit alot of time when playing.

 

Think he is quality.

 

If he can improve on speed training he has a big future imo.

Certainly need Ross Smith. He is the ONE player I am hoping to have re-signed more than any other.

Great news. He got off to a slow start last season, but then got better and better. His injury prevented him really achieving his potential, but I am sure he can this year.

Holds the ball up well, accurate with passing, and works well with Greg. Wonderful signing.

i thought gradly was dire to start off withlast season, but i soon found a love for him when i relised he was quiet but commanding the mid very strongly not only that but his games were getting better and better untill sadly he was injured, he imo will command this division.

I broadly agree with the last two posts. He was bad early season, but did seem to get stronger as time passed. Hopefully JK can teach him a bit about distribution and he may be very useful in this division.

I was very critical of Pat when he first joined, which was harsh. He has stuck with the club, which is commendable, and hopefully his loyalty will be rewarded with performances like that which we were seeing later in the season. Another positive signing

He had one good game that I can remember. Still we need all the players we can get. Hopefully his performances will improve with an injury free run in the side.

I am very pleased Pat has signed for the club.

He is the type of steady player that we desperately need in midfield. He passes accurately

and tidies up play. He continually improved through the season although his injury was a set back for him and the club. Look forward to seeing him.

Cool news like many have said pat started a bit slow but the more game he played the more influence he had in the games and are results started to show that till his injury.

 

Now we need green and smith to sign and i will start to belive we have the potential to challange this season.
