Tonights Game.

Recommended Posts

Just got back in, A fair result with two evenly matched sides. There were still a number of the Fleet faithful present even on a Tuesday night with footie on telly! Well done my brave boys (and girls!)

Only thing to mar the night was Rob Owen going off with what looked like a hamstring injury. The amount of players out of the side due to injury at the moment is just ridiculous. (Any more and Francis will be back in the frame for a place, plaster cast or not!)

Simon Parker came on and slotted into a left sided midfield role and impressed.

We were segregated again all 60 or so of us! and there were no bloody faggots on sale despite the promise on the ir web site! I was not a happy bunny.

Roll on Telford on Saturday!

Totally agree, thought he result was fair, good to see Sarge and Liam, back, but also like you Andy concerned about Rob, he looked really sick about it.

Even though we were few we still made a fair amount of noise, but when will common sense prevail, surely we could have been moved to the other end of the ground for the second half, we were hardly going to start a riot.

On the down side, why oh why were we sent out of the gate, into the middle of a housing estate, we had not idea were we were and would have been sitting targets if anyone had decided to have a go at us. ( no offence to the Burton fans, they are a great bunch) but I think you get my drift. See you all on Saturday.

Come on you Reds

I agree with what you are saying here Jess. I had no idea how to get back to the car park, they wouldn't even let us walk through the empty terracing afterwards.

This meant we had to walk past that dodgy fast food joint where all the kids from the area were hanging around. I can only guess it was because the field option didn't have sufficient street lighting.

I believe they had genuine concerns for our welfare, but it was a we bit OTT to have upwards of 20-30 stewards (I kid you not) escorting Alan W, myself and three girls from the "T" bar out of the ground at the end of the game!

They are lovely people up there but the segregation thing does need a bit of fine tuning methinks!

By the way Alan I have got tonsillitis, so I can only appologise for coughing all the way home!
