2 MINUTE SILENCE observed well in Chelmsford

Recommended Posts

Left work at 12 to observe the two minute silence on the high street where a few hundred people had gathered to observe it and pay thier respects.

Was observed immaculately, except for press photographers taking photos.

There was a very eery feel about it, lets hope we will not be doing much more of this.

well done chelmsford <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Stood outside work at 12:00 here in Harlow and it amazes me that some people really don't care. Out of 10 units only two companies bothered to step outside. Everybody had there doors open but continued to work away and let's not even mentioned the knob head dustmen. SOME PEOPLE!!!!!

We all went into the Park at Russel Square, about 1000 people. All quiet except for a couple of lorries going by.

I noticed from my look out point, that the cops were searching the shrubs for bombs before allowing us in there.

I made sure I was not standing near any weirdy beardy types!

Was at our head office in Enfield, our company & 3 others stood outside, however one unit with its shutters open had 2 old boys beavering away when one looked up & noticed us all standing outside, he then delivered the classic sentence to his mate "ere Bill wot's goin on out there"?

Bless him, he was beside himself & went round every unit apologising afterwards telling us he forgot all about it, which I found even more frustrating than his original mishap.

Must admit I too had forgotten. I arrived at work around 12 noon and noticed all the staff and Management outside the unit, as I approached them I was thinking must be a fire drill? quickly realising what was going on calmly joined the sombre congregation and stood in silence for 2 minutes, only looking up once to give a menacing glare at an arrogant car driver that was beeping he's horn as he went bye!

Well done to you all & Best Regards - MB
