Was Enoch right?

Back in the 60's politician Enoch Powell made a speech in which he stated if immigration was not curbed there would be "rivers of blood" on our streets.

 

Well in the 80's we had the riots, PC Blakelock etc, and now we have last week's terrible events.Not to mention other types of ongoing crime that has it's origins overseas.

 

I am no racist, I work with people of all backgrounds and Im not sure that Enoch was a racist either, just warning us of the long term problems ahead.

 

My Dad fought a war for this country, for freedom, and for us to live in peace, also to stop dictators like Hitler elimating ethnic minorities. How are some people within these minorities now thanking us for standing up to the Nazi's on their behalf.

 

I accept the vast majority of immigrants are law abiding etc and we mustn't "take it out" on them, however at the same time they must understand our fears.

 

Yesterday extremists in Iraq blew up 24 kids between 7 and 13. It was another suicide bomber. What sort of people are we dealing with that do this, and we now have the same sort of people in Britian.

I was asked about my views about Enoch Powell and that speech in an interview in the past (it was relevant). Im a liberal conservative so I tend not to see immigration as much of a threat compared someone working for Nick Griffen. All the same there is a problem appearing here.

 

I may not be the biggest fan of Tony Blair but I agree with what he said about the bombers yesterday, that they follow a completely manipulated version of Islam. The innovation of the Internet can be thanked for the spread of this form of Islam. Its not true to what it should be at all.

Lets remember a couple of issues reference our mate Enoch ( a fellow Conservative)

 

1. ) He was a man of outstanding intellect

2. ) He was the man as a government minister who started the mass immigration into Britain recruiting for the NHS and The London transport system

3. ) He was wrong to present his rivers of blood speach in the manner he did, like Mosely he had ideas, beyond common sense, of becomin the countries leader

Had he argued his point of view in a more debate style manner he may just have enjoyed the fruits of his ability to see the the problems ahead

No-one thinks your a racist mate, the very same thought crossed my mind the other day. The BNP aren't going to blow me up, but some Islamic millitants will.

 

However if we vote in the BNP and they clear the streets of immigrants (illeagel or not) will it end there? No! Our whole system will change, Britain will become evil again in ways we thought we saw left behind hundreds of years ago.

 

We'll start moving into weaker nations that the BNP propagandists will make us believe are a threat (okay so Blair did as well), these countries will become slaughter houses like South Africa 100 years ago during the Boar War. We invented concentration camps to slaughter our captured prisoners, do we want to see our troops ordered to use similar methods in the future?

 

We must stand up and say no to war, no to dictatorship, no to occupation. Only together can we give peace a loud enough voice so it can be heard by those that need to hear it.

 

I don't see this as a war between blacks and whites. I see this as a war between love and hate, peace versus war. If you want to blow someone up on a bus or if you canvas for the BNP then your in one corner. However if you want to live your life in peace and harmony with people of all cultures, race and backgrounds then your in the other corner, MY CORNER.

 

Its ironic that less then 24 hours before the attack, London was announced as host city for the 2012 Olympic Games. What a fantastic occasion to see the most fantasitc and momentus sporting event take place in your own country. However if we didn't have so many different cultures living in London then we wouldn't have got anywhere near the Olympics.

 

Just something to think about......

Strange when 7/7/ happend I thought of Enochs river of blood speech. I don't think being English is that simple. My best friend is Indian he comes from Romford It's the only life he knows. What makes an "Englishman" want to kill his brother. Answer someone who feels he isn't English. In other words an outsider or an enemy.. It's the time to stand up and be counted. Are you with us or against us. It's that simple.
