I'm thinking of having a low-key weekend over the birthday actually as I'm working 12hr days Fri-Wed (5th-10th) and quite a few are away at Cricket and so forth and having the big one the next weekend instead.

I'll still do the XFM night on the 5th as plenty of people will still be coming but we'll do a mad one the weekend after as I'm off and we can also tie it in with the 1st game of the season as well.

Well we still have Art Brut on the 4th unless you still plan to see Jimmy Carr, they have been superb the last couple of times I've seen them!

 

Mr Zeal, I'd be tempted with a night in Brighton on the Saturday, we can do Welling, you Pompey and then meet in Brighton for the night!

It's certainly possible to see Jimmy Carr (which will be long finished by 8pm) AND Art Brut, as discussed in pub.

Recording starts at 6pm, I think.

 

I'm basing it on TV shows I've been to in the past.

 

It's very rare that there's a break in recording, and this is only a half hour show.

 

Will take between an hour and two hours to record.

Doors are normally quite early but recording is usually later.

 

I'll be up for it if you're sure, but like I said in my experience it takes a lot longer, once recording starts though we won't be able to leave though despite gertcha's pleas of being held against our wills otherwise!

Maybe but you'll find youself very unpopular if you get up during a live studio recording and just leave, this isn't like the theatre or anything. Besides the doors will probably be locking to prevent people from entering during recording.

Yeah, they do get funny about you leaving, but believe me, it'll be all done by 8pm easy.

Then again, why would you want to leave a studio full of first rate comedians who you've never seen live before, for a sh*thole pub full of third rate musicians who you've seen fifty-odd times before??

Hardly, you get up and they will tell you to sit down, you try and leave and kick up a fuss the recording will stop and they have to re-record, that is all!
