I got an email from the Civic Centre saying "Due to a major fault in the sub station that serves this area of Gravesham, the mains electrical power will be shut down at 2300 hours tonight until the repair is done."

 

I don't know how widespread this is gonna be but thought I'd let you know in case you get caught in it.

 

I know that this is off topic but thought that it would be kinda pointless posting it in the pub and didn't want anyone losing work or whatever on their pc's

oops sorry, should have said.

 

I guess it's the town centre area as it came from the civic centre, but I don't know for certain.

Gravesham Council were very cagey on the phone about it all.

 

The woman first denied it then said that it wouldn't be something that they'd email to the public anyway.

 

Then she finally admitted it to be true, but the information they had would be something that they'd only circulate to their own staff and that I'd be better off ringing seeboard.

 

So it appears to be true but how widespread is anybody's guess.

I work for the council.

 

They never said anything about not telling anyone.

 

Hope I'm not in trouble... oops lol
